Roadlay were appointed Principle Contractor to create a new delivery yard in waste ground adjacent to the Clients busy cash and carry warehouse .We established the ground make up required by determining the CBR of the soft ground . Scottish Water and the Local Authority required a SUDS ( sustainable urban drainage scheme ) which involved installing cages and a hydrobrake system to allow surface water to perculate through before entering the main sewage system in the main Maxwell Road.
We specified C40 air entrained concrete with Durus “ Easy Finish “ structural fibres which negated any need for steel mesh reinforcement
- Establish CBR ( California Bearing Ratio ) of soft ground
- Design and present to Clients Architects and Drainage engineer
- Excavation ,and installation of C40 AEA Fibres concrete yard
- Installation of SUDS / Hydrobrake drainage system
- Tie into Local Authority main sewage system in main road
- Crash barrier installation
- Perimeter fencing with 6 meter security gate.
